Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using the Huachuma Moonlight website, attending our ceremonies, or participating in our retreats, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. Huachuma Moonlight operates as the ONAC (Oklevueha Native American Church) of New Jersey Chapter. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use our services.

Religious Freedom & Sacramental Use

Huachuma Moonlight operates under the religious freedom protections afforded to the Oklevueha Native American Church. Our ceremonies involve the sacramental use of sacred plant medicines as part of sincere religious practice. Participation in our ceremonies constitutes an exercise of religious freedom and is conducted in accordance with the traditions and guidelines of ONAC. All participants are expected to approach the medicines and ceremonies with reverence and respect.

Eligibility

Participation in our ceremonies and retreats is limited to individuals who are at least 18 years of age. By registering for any ceremony or retreat, you confirm that you meet this age requirement. We reserve the right to request identification to verify your age. Certain medical conditions, medications, or psychological conditions may preclude participation in ceremonies. It is your responsibility to disclose any relevant health information during the pre-ceremony consultation.

Health & Safety Disclaimer

Sacred plant medicine ceremonies involve powerful experiences that may affect you physically, emotionally, and spiritually. By participating, you acknowledge and agree to the following:

  • You are participating voluntarily and of your own free will
  • You have disclosed all relevant medical conditions, medications, and mental health history during your pre-ceremony consultation
  • You understand that ceremonies are not a substitute for professional medical or psychological treatment
  • You will follow all preparation guidelines and instructions provided by our ceremony leaders
  • You assume full responsibility for your decision to participate

Ceremony Conduct & Guidelines

All participants are expected to treat the ceremonies, the medicine, the ceremony leaders, and fellow participants with the highest respect. You agree to follow all instructions given by Oswal, Joann, and any other ceremony facilitators. Disruptive behavior, disrespect toward the sacred space, or failure to follow safety guidelines may result in removal from the ceremony without refund. The use of recording devices (cameras, phones, audio recorders) during ceremonies is strictly prohibited unless explicitly authorized.

Confidentiality

What happens in ceremony stays in ceremony. You agree to maintain the confidentiality of all participants' experiences, identities, and personal information shared during ceremonies, integration circles, and retreat activities. You may share your own personal experience, but you must not identify or share the experiences of other participants without their explicit written consent.

Retreat Registration & Cancellation

For our Peru retreats and other multi-day events, the following terms apply:

  • A non-refundable deposit is required to secure your spot
  • Full payment is due at least 60 days before the retreat start date
  • Cancellations made more than 60 days before the retreat may receive a partial refund (minus the deposit)
  • Cancellations made within 60 days of the retreat are non-refundable, though credits toward future events may be considered on a case-by-case basis
  • We strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance for international retreats
  • We reserve the right to cancel or modify retreat schedules due to unforeseen circumstances, in which case a full refund or rescheduling will be offered

Donations & Payments

As a religious organization operating under ONAC, contributions for ceremony participation are considered donations to support our spiritual community and the continuation of sacred traditions. Specific donation amounts and payment methods will be communicated during the registration process. All donations are final unless otherwise stated in our cancellation policy above.

Assumption of Risk & Liability

Participation in sacred plant medicine ceremonies and retreats involves inherent risks. By participating, you acknowledge these risks and voluntarily assume full responsibility for any injury, loss, or damage that may occur. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Huachuma Moonlight, its leaders, facilitators, and volunteers shall not be held liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your participation in our ceremonies, retreats, or use of our website.
